BEIJING (Dow Jones) - The electric vehicle industry from China has grown lately, with more manufacturers coming from within the country. China even launched an electric-powered sports car from the manufacturer Leap Motors.

The model is named LP-S01 which was released via teaser photos before being launched to the public on Friday (10/11), tomorrow. So far seen LP-S01 appear as a two-door sports coupe. Leap Motors applying quite aggressive design on the front of this car, with a roof-style fastback. The rear lights adopt LEDs with elongated designs.

According to Car News China, the car is powered by an electric motor capable of generating 170 hp power and 250 Nm of torque. In addition to the ability to travel 360 kilometers, LP-S01 is claimed to be 0-100 km / h in 6.9 seconds.

The launch of the LP-S01 will take place at the Guangzhou Auto Show, will also be equipped with "vehicle networking technology" such as intelligent-driving system, WiFi and face recognition feature to enable the car.

The new Leap Motors will market this car in March 2019, with prices starting at 200,000 yuan or USD: 31,307.
