EPL Brighton v Huddersfield preview
EPL Brighton v Huddersfield preview
Brighton will be looking to take a big step towards Premier League survival when they face relegation rivals Huddersfield on Saturday.
With seven games left to play, the Seagulls are six points above the relegation zone.
However, they were beaten last time out by Leicester and face a tricky run-in that includes games against all of the current top four.
"Im conscious that this is a home game for us and because we werent able to win our last one, it does put more pressure on this game," said manager Chris Hughton.
"But whatever the next game would have been, there would have been more pressure on that game and it just happens to be Huddersfield."
Chris Hughton has urged Brighton to secure Premier League safety as quickly as possible with a tough run of fixtures to end the season
The Terriers are three points above the relegation zone but have lost three of their last four games, failing to score in any of them. They have also lost 11 of 16 away games this season.
"I am confident that we have everything to stay up," said manager David Wagner. "Even if we know its difficult and that last season was a fairy tale. Im confident because of our league position and the spirit this team has."
Brighton will give Dale Stephens every chance to prove his fitness as he has been battling a hamstring complaint.
Loanee Leonardo Ulloa can return having been ineligible for selection in last weekends 2-0 loss against parent club Leicester.
Huddersfield will be without Elias Kachunga for the rest of the season after he injured ankle ligaments in the defeat at Newcastle last weekend.
Aside from long-term absentees Danny Williams (leg) and Michael Hefele (knee), Wagner has every other first-team player at his disposal.
